Develop Your Path to Greatness

My father Robert Lewis was a civil engineer.  I found something I enjoyed doing in the same field.

I’ve worked with many great engineers taking a little from all of them as I’ve built my approach to engineering problem solving.

In 2004, I moved to the Los Angeles area from Fullerton, CA.  Prior, I have worked for Shook Building Systems, then the City of Anaheim, Street Maintenance Department, then with James Schreder at Danjon Engineering while going to Cal Poly Pomona, until my father passed in 1999 and then Land Development Design Corporation in Ontario and Adams Streeter in Irvine while finalizing my Civil Engineering Degree in 2002.  I then met Larry Mar working as his Assistant Project Manager at Land Design Consultants in Pasadena in 2005.  In 2010 we had our first son and I started Lewis Civil Engineering.  I joined back up with Larry to start Southland Civil Engineering in 2012 and have restarted Lewis Civil Engineering as I downsize to focus on family.

My wife is the Chief Mission Assurance Manager for Type 2 Projects at JPL and I enjoy supporting her and my 2 boys as they go through Sierra Madre Elementary.

I bought a mini excavator and stand on front loader and 10K dump trailer to dig out a basement below our house and am always doing some kind of construction project.

Now all of that expertise I bring to bear on small custom projects for those who need the type of assistance I can offer.  Hopefully that helps with the turns on your winding path as well.
